Description: A 'Sarek' vase by Ole Alberius for Rorstrand. This vase is decorated with geometric designs scribed into the body which are picked out by the laterally applied glaze. Every angle of this vase gives a new impression and is a perfect example of art pottery of this period. Ole Alberius was educated at Konstfack, Stockholm's most distinguished art school, between 1952-56. From 1963-71 he was artistic designer at Rorstrand. Printed to base: Rorstrand 3 crowns Sweden, OA monogram SAREK Handmalad (handpainted).
